This is my 3rd civic, first being a Ek3, second a b16 Ej9.
Ive always wanted to turbo a eg/ek but never thought i'd waste my money.
But one random day i suddenly thought, f**k it you only live once!
Luckily for me i can use the workshop at work
Full spec to follow
Some may know i got myself a FC feature acouple months after ownership, not bad considering i hadnt touched the car! heehee!

The picture used on the front of the feature:

Shortly after the shoot was taken chris at CC imports sorted me out on acouple sweet parts for the car, at a stonking price!
Ultra Racing 3-point upper strut bar, and a Password JDM battery tie, why not!

I then ordered the Turbo kit of Ricky at Race Tech!
One night after work i was just checking my oil before setting home, i realised how annoyingly sh*t the earth cable from the head to the body was,
so i grabbed myself some funky cable, abit of clear plastic tube and some connectors, this was the result:

Due to some delay in the turbo kit coming due to snow and afew other things,
i ordered my Stack gauges and single pod which turned up next day! Oil pressure and Oil temp in black and Boost in white!
While the phone was in my hand i ordered a OE manifold gasket and oil filter for the sandwich plate i had in my toolbox for about a year.

The kit came! Well chuffed and happy with it, the welds are spot on and the general quality of the kit was awsome, cant go wrong for the money!
still waiting for the IC, fuel pump and injectors.

Turned up at work to do some bits on the car, hanging out of my arse from the night before.. Popped over to my local nut and bolt shop for some M10 fine, nuts and bolts for the turbo flanges.
when i got back i thought id have a play with the gauges! i LOVE gauges!
Couldnt decide where to put them, weather to put the to oil ones somewhere and the boost one in the pod on the dash, i wasnt sure!
decided to take the radio out and use that space, the radio has been down graded to the glovebox!

I thought that was the best place so just had to make a plate for them!
Found myself apiece of ally and started to play!

After some dy-grinder and drill abuse!

After some cutting and rounding,

After some trimming, rounding, grinding and test fitting!

Its not perfect but it'l do until i get a proper plate laser cut.
Got afew pics of my corner of the workshop and my aston martin strap-on tool box before heading home!

Will be doing aload this sunday so will update at the end of the day

Nope it is internal wastgate. If you look at down pipe it splits off from turbo and iwg, to allow screamer pipe off iwg.

UPDATE
So the plan for today was to get the sump done, which is basicly the turbo return and the oil temp gauge! I couldnt resist test fitting the mani/turbo/downpipe either
Manifold off
Picture resized
Test fitting
Picture resized
Shes guna screeeaam!
Picture resized
Picture resized
sump off, also can see the ally flywheel
Picture resized
Sump has been off, painted, piece of metal welded on, drilled and tapped to fit the oil temp sender and also the turbo drain pipe in and welded, at a angle to assist drainage!
Picture resized
blocked up the oil drain so i could still drive it Ohh and Mobil 5-30 put in
Picture resized
Then finished wiring up the temp gauge
Picture resized
Just need to wait until tuesday to get the rest of the kit, which is the Intercooler, fuel pump and RC injectors

OK I'll be honest, I didn't even look at the pic...
An internally gated turbo with a screamer pipe? I didn't even know they were available. I completely agree with your analysis... Jamie, get that pipe welded in man.

The company that built the kit seems to think there isnt much differance with this set up, so i'l leave it as it is for now.
this is how the convo went:
me: ...i was told internals sound wank to externals?
him: No mate, no difference, thats if your doing them that don't seal right. I.e. on a scooby turbo they would because the design of the back housing doesn't allow a seal between the 2 different pipes

My mate fitted a down pipe with screamer to the standard turbo on his Stagea too.. IT sounded WANK AS f**k. It was on there for 10 mintues before we took it back off.

UPDATE
Rite got quite alot done today, basicly re-test fitted the mani/turbo, all the pipes, mounted the intercooler, cut the hoses to length and get rid of the PAS cooler.
I forgot my camera so no progress pics really, only ones taken on my Iphone,
but heres acouple pics, bearing in mind i took it all off again so i could drive home lol. Ive now got to get a hose from turbo to pipe and shorten down the turbo to IC pipe, mite be where ive mounted the IC but its too long in every way!
It did actually fit behind the main grill bit but was hitting the fogs but i just cut it all out!
Its mounted abit higher than u'd expect but i plan on putting a oil cooler below it
